On our recent fact finding mission in San Francisco we went to the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts and saw Nick Cave's super exciting sound suits. There were videos and photographs and a large installation, which included a giant globe covered in dismantled sequin dresses and a very convincing polar bear, similarly assembled from sweaters. Each piece was overwhelmingly beautiful and I got a little extra mileage out of it all because there were a few very appreciative children visiting at the same time. So, I got to enjoy a part of the show once and then a second time through their eyes. Magic. Definitely, visit YBCA if you do nothing else when in San Francisco.
